GATE CCMT Counselling 2025 Dates, Process, Fee, Cutoff

GATE CCMT Counselling 2025 was conducted by NIT Warangal. Registration for special round was started on June 15, 2025. Registration link of GATE CCMT Counselling 2025 was available on official website of ccmt.admissions.nic.in. However, Candidates can access choice filling window till July 17, 2025. CCMT registration and choice filling was started on July 11, 2025. GATE CCMT counselling 2025has been conducted in three rounds, followed by two special rounds and one national spot round. CCMT (Centralised Counselling for M.E./M.Tech/M.plan) wass  admission process for Postgraduate programmes in various NITs, IITs, and other institutes based on GATE 2025 scorecard. 

GATE CCMT Counselling 2025 allowed candidates to apply for admissions in IITs, NITs, and other institutes using their GATE 2025, 2024, and 2023 scorecards.

GATE CCMT Counselling Process 2025 

A brief guide related to GATE CCMT Counselling process 2025 is given here. Candidates are advised to follow these steps during GATE CCMT Counselling process 2025

• Step 1: Registration 

 In order to participate in GATE CCMT Counselling 2025, Candidates who meet eligibility criteria  are required to submit an online registration form within the given time. Applying candidates must have to provide their GATE Credentials, Qualification, personal information and more. 

• Step 2: Payment of registration fee 

After successful registration, candidates have to pay the required registration fee according to their availability via online payment methods such as UPI/ Net banking/ debit card/credit card etc are accepted. The registration fee is non refundable and cannot be adjusted on any other fees.

• Step 3: Online Choice Filling 

After successful registration and payment of the registration fee, Candidates can fill their preferred choices of programmes. The information on preferred programmes and the list of Participating institutes(PIs) will be available in the Candidates  CCMT LogIn.

Candidates have the right to change, reorder, delete and add their preference choices within the given time.   These rights will be restricted after locking or the deadline of the time period is over, and in such a case, candidates can’t change any information.

• Step 4: Seat Allotment 

During the CCMT Counselling Process, seats are allocated to Candidates on the basis of gate score and the preferences made during the GATE CCMT Counselling Process 2025. The seat allotment will be done in sequential order. 

For confirmation of allotment of seats, candidates have to check by logging on CCMT Portal on ne. In the  case candidates are not getting their preferred institutes, they can wait for another round. The counselling will be done by three rounds and in case if seats are vacant special counselling is held by organising authority.

• Step 5: Seat acceptance fee deposits 

After the allotment of seats, to secure their seats, candidates have to pay a seat acceptance fee online. This payment is necessary to secure your seat.  The fee details  for Seat acceptance during GATE CCMT Counselling 2025 are given below

• step 6: Physical Reporting at  CCMT reporting centres 

After seat allotment and paying the seat acceptance fee, candidates are advised to visit the nearest CCMT reporting centre. The candidates have to submit their Original documents and payment fee for verification. After successful verification, candidates will receive a verification slip.

Candidates have been given the following three rights, which they can use according to their wish-

• • Floating: If students want to be considered for better options in the next round while keeping their current seat, they can choose “Floating.”  
  •  Sliding: If students only want to be considered for better options within the same institute in the next round, they should choose “Sliding.”
  • Freeze: If students are happy with their current seat and don’t want to be considered for any better options in future rounds, they can select “Freezing.” 
• Step 7: Physical Reporting of Candidate at the CCMT Allotted Institute

After getting a document verification slip, candidates have to report at the CCMT allotted institute with the Document verification slip and the downloaded provisional allotment letter. Candidates have to report to the allotted institute within the given time. If they fail to do so,  their seat may be cancelled.

GATE CCMT Counselling 2025 FAQs

How many rounds of seat allotment will be in CCMT Counselling 2025?

There will be 3 regular rounds of counselling, after which, two Special Rounds (SR) and one National Spot Round (NSR) will be conducted for the vacant seats.

Whether Part-Time and/or Sponsored candidates are eligible for CCMT?

No. CCMT-2025 is not considering any part-time or sponsored candidates.

I cannot find the registration fee payment option.

The registration fee payment option becomes available only after you successfully verify your mobile number and email ID.

How much is the registration fee for CCMT 2025?

A candidate is required to deposit a sum of Rs. 3,500/- (for GEN/OBC/GEN-EWS) and Rs. 3,000/- (for SC/ST/PwD) towards registration. This fee is non-refundable.

Will the Seat Acceptance Fee be refunded if I withdraw myself from CCMT 2025?

The refund will be initiated only after the entire admission process is completed.
