Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering(GATE) is a prestigious national-level exam for admission to M.Tech / PhD programs across Engineering, Science, Architecture, and Humanities. It is also used in Public Sector Undertakings(PSUs) for recruitment. In 2026, IIT Guwahati is the organising institute, conducting the GATE Exam jointly with IITs and IISc. GATE Exam 2026 Application Extended Date
IIT Guwahati has announced that GATE 2026 applications will be open from 28 August to 28 September 2025.Candidates who submit their application form on the provided date will no longer pay any additional charges.
GATE provides a paid facility to the late candidates who are unable to submit their final application can also submit their application form by paying additional charges set by the officials. The extended GATE Exam 2026 application form submission date is 6 October 2025. Candidates must keep in mind that extended application form submission is no longer free. They have to pay additional charges. Interested candidates can apply for GATE Exam 2026 from this date. Candidates must remember the last date of application form submission.
